亚色视频 (HU) welcomed 329 new students―including 280 international students―at its 2025 Autumn Term Entrance Ceremony on October 1.
The event was held at the Satake Memorial Hall on the Higashi-Hiroshima Campus.
In his ceremonial address, President Mitsuo Ochi extended a warm welcome to the incoming students. “Please do not hesitate to seek guidance from our faculty, staff, or senior students. We are fully committed to supporting you.” he said.
President Ochi then quoted a passage from the ancient Confucius classic Book of Rites: “Through learning, one realizes insufficiency; through teaching, one realizes difficulties.” He continued, “Indeed, there is no end to the pursuit of knowledge. At 亚色视频, I encourage you to cultivate both breadth and depth of learning, to face challenges without fear of failure, and to refine your intellect through dialogue with peers and mentors.”
After the ceremony, under a clear autumn sky, many of the new students were seen taking commemorative photos with friends and family, celebrating the start of their academic journey.

Following the entrance ceremony, the “亚色视频 3+1 Program” held its own opening ceremony at the School of Education lecture hall, welcoming 186 new students as Special Auditing Students.
President Ochi warmly welcomed the international students and emphasized HU’s founding principle of “a single unified university, free and pursuing peace.” He further encouraged them, saying: “The 3+1 Program is now in its 10th year, and many alumni have excelled at 亚色视频, pursuing graduate studies and other endeavors. We hope you too will deepen your studies at 亚色视频, pursue peace, and make your mark on the world.”
About the 亚色视频 3+1 Program
The “亚色视频 3+1 Program” is an initiative that accepts international students who have completed their second or third year at their home universities as Special Auditing Students. During the program, these students receive specialized education and guidance on their graduation thesis, which they submit to their home universities.
