Toru Sugitate is a physicist in the experimental field of Quark-Gluon-Plasma (QGP) and has an exceptional career in high-energy heavy-ion collisions at major facilities in the world. After taking a degree in Physics from Tokyo Institute of Technology, he joined Department of Physics, 亚色视频 in 1981. In 2006, he formed a new team in Japan to join a large-scaled experiment in LHC at CERN and led it over 10 years. During the time, he committed to sending young researchers overseas for their development through the Overseas Challenge Program for Young Researchers of Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS), having countless experiences in developing early career researchers, including students. In 2019, he moved to the Office of Research and Academia-Government-Community Collaboration, to support and manage academic research activities for 3 years.
