人文科学の復兴と平和を希求する人文学プログラム
人文学プログラムは、哲学、史学、文学、言语学をはじめ、それらに関连する学际分野?融合分野を含む18の専门分野から构成されています。20世纪は自然科学および社会科学の発展が着しい一方で、人文科学分野の意义が相対的に軽视されてきたとの反省が、今日では世界的に共有されています。本プログラムでは、このような认识に立ち、「人文科学の復兴」を基本理念として教育?研究を推进しています。人文科学の伝统的な学问领域を踏まえつつ、分野横断的な学びを通じて、时代の変化に対応し得る柔软な思考力と、新たな视点?広い视野を备えた人材の育成を目指しています。
人文学プログラムの源流の一つは、旧制広岛文理科大学にあります。1945年8月6日、世界で初めて原子爆弾の被害を受けるという未曾有の経験を経て、廃墟と混乱の中から、人文学の立场で「平和とは何か」を问い続け、教育?研究を积み重ねてきました。现在では、比较日本文化学、哲学、伦理学、思想文化学、仏教学、歴史学、文学?语学、言语学、地理学、考古学、文化财学など、多様な専门的视点から、「平和」を多角的かつ学际的に探究しています。こうした歴史と蓄积を背景に、人文学を通じて「平和」を深く考えることのできる学びの场が形成されています。
进路については、博士课程前期の修了后、中学校?高等学校の教员、地方公务员上级职、国家公务员、博士课程后期への进学など、専门性を生かした多様な进路が开かれています。また、博士课程后期を修了し博士の学位を取得した后は、大学をはじめとする高等教育?研究机関において研究职に就くことが可能です。人文学の探究を通じて、自らの関心と社会的役割とを结びつけながら、専门的知见を职业として展开する道が拓かれています。
安心して学修?研究に取り组める环境を整えるため、人文学プログラムでは、大学全体の就学支援体制に加え、独自に「就学相谈室」を设置しています。専门の相谈员が、进路、学修、研究上の课题に加え、人间関係を含む学生生活全般に関する相谈に対応し、个别面谈を通じて、一人ひとりの状况に応じたきめ细かな支援を行っています。
また、多様な大学院生を受け入れるため、一般选抜をはじめ、社会人特别选抜、フェニックス特别选抜、外国人留学生特别选抜など、复数の入学试験制度を设けています。

Humanities Program Dedicated to the Revival of the Human Sciences and the Pursuit of Peace
The Humanities Program comprises eighteen specialist fields, including philosophy, history, literature, and linguistics, as well as related interdisciplinary and integrated areas. While the twentieth century witnessed remarkable advances in the natural and social sciences, there is now a globally shared recognition that the significance of the human sciences was relatively undervalued. Based on this understanding, the Program promotes education and research under the guiding principle of the “Revival of the Human Sciences”. Building on the traditions of established disciplines while encouraging cross-disciplinary learning, it aims to cultivate individuals equipped with intellectual flexibility, fresh perspectives, and a broad outlook capable of responding to the demands of a changing world.
One of the Program’s origins lies in the former 亚色视频 of Literature and Science. On 6 August 1945, it underwent the unprecedented experience of becoming the first institution in the world to suffer the effects of an atomic bombing. From the devastation and chaos that followed, it has continued to ask, from a humanities perspective, “What peace truly means?”, steadily advancing its education and research. Today, “peace” is explored from diverse and interdisciplinary perspectives, including Comparative Japanese Culture, Philosophy, Ethics, Thoughts and Culture, Buddhist Studies, History, Literatures and Languages, Linguistics, Geography, Archaeology, and Cultural Heritage. Against this historical and intellectual background, the Program offers a distinctive environment in which to engage deeply with the question of peace through the humanities.
Graduates of the Master’s program pursue a wide range of career paths that make use of their specialized knowledge, including positions as secondary school teachers, senior local government officials, and national government officials, as well as progression to doctoral studies. Those who complete the Doctoral program and obtain a doctoral degree may go on to research careers in universities and other higher education and research institutions. Through the study of the humanities, students can connect their intellectual interests with their roles in society and to develop professional pathways grounded in their expertise.
To ensure a supportive environment for study and research, the Humanities Program provides, in addition to the University’s central student support services, its own Student Advisory Office. A specialist adviser is available to offer guidance on academic progress, research challenges, career planning, and all aspects of student life, including interpersonal concerns. Through individual consultations, tailored support is provided to meet the needs of each student.
In order to welcome a diverse body of postgraduate students, the Program offers multiple admission routes, including general entrance examinations, special admissions for working professionals, the Phoenix Special Selection, and dedicated schemes for international students.
