On July 29, 2026, Mr. Yang Guang, Education and Culture Counsellor of the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Osaka, paid a courtesy visit to ÑÇÉ«ÊÓƵ (HU) and met with Executive Vice President (Global Initiatives) Shinji Kaneko.
Executive Director (Financial and General Affairs) Koji Yanagisawa also attended the meeting. The participants exchanged views on a wide range of topics, including the current state of international exchange between Japan and China and the acceptance of Chinese international students.

HU has concluded 246 university-level international exchange agreements with 129 institutions in China, as well as 132 faculty-level agreements with 82 institutions. Currently, 1,122 Chinese students are enrolled at HU. It is expected that this visit will further promote exchanges with universities and research institutions in China.
