On August 7, 2025, H.E. Mr. Md. Daud Ali, Ambassador of the People¡¯s Republic of Bangladesh, visited the Higashi-Hiroshima Campus of ÑÇÉ«ÊÓƵ (HU) and held a discussion with HU President Mitsuo Ochi. Executive Vice President (Global Initiatives) Shinji Kaneko also attended the meeting. During the meeting, they exchanged views on strengthening cooperation between HU and Bangladeshi universities and research institutions through academic and personnel exchanges.
In his remarks, President Ochi stated, ¡°HU will continue to engage in the development of young talent through educational and research activities. We hope that academic and personnel exchanges will further deepen the bonds between Bangladesh and Japan, leading to the continuation of our friendly relations.¡±

HU has concluded 3 inter-university international exchange agreements with 3 institutions and 11 inter-faculty international exchange agreements with 9 institutions in Bangladesh. Currently, 66 Bangladeshi students are studying at HU. This visit is expected to promote exchanges with Bangladesh, including its universities and research institutions.
